Benefits of a Medical Marijuana card include:
- No 20% state sales tax, which recreational users must pay.
- Dispensary discounts, coupons and rewards programs offered only to medical patients.
- High-quality medicine, with a wider selection of cannabis products to choose from.
- Higher-dose edibles available only to medical marijuana patients, which can save you money. Adult-use is limited to 5 mg edibles, whereas medical offers much higher doses.
- Higher purchase and carry limits of 10 oz. for medical, versus 1 oz. for adult-use.
- Home cultivation: Medical Marijuana patients can have 12 plants in vegetation and 12 plants in flower, whereas non-medical home cultivators can only have 6 plants, or up to 12 for two or more adults.
- Reciprocity with other states: you can use your MA medical marijuana card in states that offer reciprocity, such as Maine and Rhode Island.

Unlike some franchised medical cannabis practices that merely issue a certification and give general information, we develop individualized recommendations and education, including how to be an informed consumer, read and navigate dispensary menus and access new information that is coming fast and furious.

Our Clinicians
Ashley Correll, FNP-C, MSN
Ashley is the current owner of CWB. She has been a Family Nurse Practitioner since 2013 and has experience in clinical, hospital and hospice settings. She currently practices in skilled nursing facilities, where she specializes in geriatric mental health. Ashley has a special interest in holistic therapies, including herbal medicine, and is a member of the American Cannabis Nurses Association and the Cannabis Nurses Network. She is dedicated to educating patients on the multitude of restorative and healing properties that the cannabis plant provides.
Jo-ann Lee, CNP, MSN, MBA
Jo-Ann is an Adult nurse Practitioner and has had over 40 years of experience in hospital based and outpatient care settings with a specialty in orthopedics. She is particularly interested in bringing the healing properties of medical cannabis to patients with chronic pain, arthritis, and functional issues, bringing a personal and holistic approach to health and well being.
Rose M Cain, FNP, MPH, JD
Rose established CWB in 2018 to provide access to medical marijuana certification for patients in Massachusetts. She has been an Family Nurse Practitioner for over 40 years and has cared for patients in acute, primary and urgent care, geriatrics, home , hospice and nursing home settings. Rose is also an Army veteran and is committed to addressing the unique physical and mental health issues facing vets- including PTSD and chronic pain. Rose has served on the Board of Directors of non-profit organizations and was also a practicing attorney for 20 years.
